The Death of Blogging

SMCLA present the Death of Blogging - April 2016“Blogging is dead, long live blogging” has practically become a colloquialism in the marketing universe but which is it? Is blogging dead? Years ago, it was easy. You were passionate about something, you wrote about it online, hopefully people read it. And then it evolved. Mom bloggers, fashion bloggers, lifestyle bloggers... And channels expanded to see the rise if Vine influencers, Instagram influencers and “Pinfluencers.” With, literally, millions of companies, brands, start-ups and agencies looking for the best social media “maven” to latch onto, the market has become remarkably over-saturated and truth be told, blogging, at least we as knew it these last few years, is dead.RSVP NOW: http://bit.ly/SMCLA_RIPblogsJoin Social Media Club LA and a panel of expert “eulogists” as we pay tribute to our beloved blogging and look to the future to discuss what’s in store. What will be the best practices moving forward? How do we resurrect and revitalize this dying medium so that a year from now our event is a seance, not a burial?Eulogies and tributes will be paid by our panel:Jordana Bruner - Sr. Manager of Global Communications at Sonos, formerly co-developed the Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference.Danny Deraney - Owner of Deraney PR.
