As the year winds down, our Board of Directors begins planning for 2020. Our Board of Directors is 100% volunteer-based and dedicated to producing great panels, networking events, workshops, and happy hours for our SMCLA members and the greater Los Angeles social media community.

Each year, we have an elections process where our members nominate exceptional social media practitioners to join the Board of Directors for the upcoming year. We also accept self-nominations and would love to learn more about you! If you have enjoyed coming to our events and looking to get involved with our organization on a deeper level, this is your chance! We are currently seeking new and returning board members to help serve our Los Angeles Chapter. If you are interested in nominating yourself or colleagues, please fill out the form below by Wednesday, December 18th.

Any community member in good standing may apply, but we prefer that the candidate is registered as a paid member of Social Media Club. However, it is not a requirement as long as that person joins after the election. You may also be in-house, part of an agency or freelance to apply or be nominated.

Why join the Board of Directors? There are many perks to being part of the Board, including the experience that looks good on the resume, honing your skills in various areas, and also learning management skills. Many current and past Board members have noted that their involvement has helped them in their careers.
