How the Film & Entertainment Industry is Adapting to The Pandemic

Since the pandemic began, the film and entertainment industry has been finding new ways to evolve and accommodate a new, ever-changing world of digital consumption. Social media has played a huge role in this evolution, and while some companies are running full-speed ahead and adapting, others are pulling back and stopping advertising altogether.Our panelists will dive into the changes they’ve made and the challenges they’re facing in the new world of entertainment and film. They’ve been pivoting and accommodating new releases and clients, and they’ll be sharing their stories and current projects with us. Hear what it’s like and learn what’s going on in the front lines of their industry.What lessons can we learn from the exponential lift in streaming content? So many more people are consuming content online than ever before, so how are they taking advantage of that now?Our panelists have a range of backgrounds including; public relations, film distribution, film making, and entertainment consulting.

Our Moderator

AJ Feuerman is a public relations executive with experience representing clients across the entertainment, lifestyle, and technology industries. She specializes in planning and executing innovative campaigns that include both traditional and digital mechanics as well as blogger and influencer outreach initiatives. In 2018 she founded her own public relations and social media consultancy and most recently, was the Director of Public Relations and Social Media for independent film distributor, Gravitas Ventures. Preceding that she was a PR Account Director at 451 Marketing. Before joining 451, she was the Manager of Digital PR & Social Communities for AEG Live overseeing social media strategy and promotions for touring artists such as Bon Jovi, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Kanye West, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars. Previously, AJ was a publicity manager at Millennium Entertainment, and also repped 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment as a publicist and influencer marketing manager with Think Jam, Inc. AJ began her PR career at Crown Media Family Networks. In addition, AJ spent eight years on the Social Media Club Los Angeles’ Board of Directors (she served two as President). She volunteers as a mentor and guest lecturer with USC and UCLA and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Film Independent, the International Documentary Association as well as several influencer and blogger networks.

Chase Friedman

Chase Friedman is the Founder and CEO of Vanquish Media Group, a boutique digital media collective that collaborates with world-renown brands, thought leaders, and digital influencers by championing premium branded content, digital storytelling, and integrated marketing strategies. Spanning multiple platforms and genres including entertainment, lifestyle, and education, Vanquish has launched over 100 branded content campaigns that have generated over $50MM in e-Commerce revenue, to date. Prior to forming Vanquish, Chase has served as an Executive Producer and media consultant for a wide array of media networks (TNT, TBS, Maker Studios, People) and global consumer brands (Intel, Acer, L’Oreal, Newegg). Chase began his career as a multi-hyphenate Writer-Director-Producer (Leverage , Blank Slate, The Librarians) before fully immersing himself in the branded-content landscape where he continues in his mission to push the boundaries of innovative brand storytelling. 

Savannah Brentnall

President of Daxia Digital, has worked in the digital field since 1984, and in social media since 2008. She has created and implemented long-term marketing and social media strategies for clients including CBS Home Entertainment, RCA, TOMS Shoes, Shutterfly, Hallmark Channel, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Jillian Michaels and James Taylor.

Savannah has co-founded several technology startups and two successful software consulting companies. She has written two books on software development and has spoken at conferences around the world.
