Our Moderator

Savannah Brentnall, Co-Founder, Daxia Digital, serves on the Board Of Directors for the Social Media Club LA and has worked in the digital field since 1984, and in social media since 2008. She has created and implemented long-term marketing and social media strategies for clients including CBS Home Entertainment, TOMS Shoes, Shutterfly, Hallmark Channel, Jillian Michaels and James Taylor. Savannah helped create and implement strategy that grew Hallmark Channel’s social base from a few hundred fans to more than 6 million. She single-handedly launched James Taylor’s social presence and grew it completely organically to more than 2 million. Her social ad campaign gave the singer his very first #1 album. Savannah has co-founded several technology startups and has written two books on software development.

Mary Grace Cerni

Mary Grace Cerni, a Southern California local, has always been a pop culture junkie and a careful observer of how media shapes our world. Starting off as a music journalist after completing her undergrad at LMU, she quickly became entrenched in the world of blogging and later fell into the digital marketing and content space. At her current role as a social media editor at Refinery29, Ms. Cerni is part of a team that's helping women to see, feel, and claim their power across all social platforms.

Joshua Engen

As Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch Consumer Marketing Lead, Joshua Engen Manages a team of talented social media managers, creatives, and marketers, working to create a meme-filled social media experience for Overwatch players. Previously, Joshua was Community Manager at Activision, managing the social media channels of nearly every licensed brand in Activision’s portfolio and strategizing advertising campaigns for the social media space. Joshua also writes, edits, designs, and occasionally makes hilarious music videos.

Shelley Simpson

Shelley Simpson is owner of Small & Mighty Marketing, a boutique digital marketing agency specializing in the unique needs of solo entrepreneurs and small businesses. As head bee, Shelley and her team do one thing: provide the tools, education and strategy that small businesses need to succeed in an increasingly competitive marketplace: from content creation, to community management to brand messaging and all the platforms in-between.
